Christmas Treats

For family home evening last monday we made truffles. Alekisio is getting great at measuring ingredients so he helped melt everything and stir it. After it chilled we rolled it in balls and then coconut and sprinkles. I'm pretty sure Alekisio and Isabelle had more fun eating the chocolate than rolling it. Well I know Isabelle did because as soon as she woke up from her nap she got on the floor and shoved one in her mouth. I loved making truffles, fudge, cookies, zucchini bread, and angel sweets(mint chocolate with marshmallows). My favorite thing to make this year was the Honey Butter Caramels. I made a few tiny mistakes but they still turned into caramel and tasted good. Next time they'll be perfect. I realized how much I miss baking all the time and will definitely be doing more. I started to get a little homesick so baking took my mind off that. We passed out ALOT of stuff, and we enjoyed making it all together. It was the best part of the holiday for me.
