New Tummy Pictures

We took these pictures today. Alekisio loves to kiss Isabelle. He calls her his baby, and when Aisea says she's his baby Alekisio gets really upset. I'm hoping he's still that excited when she's out demanding attention that is usually his! When you say your prayers remember to ask for her to make her entrance to this world sooner than later! I appreciate it:)

The Best Kind of Friend

I've been having really lazy days lately. I talk to my sister to see how the Braelyn is doing, pick up the house, and play with Alekisio until he wears me out. Other than that I don't feel like leaving the house. I didn't even get out of my house until tonight to check the mail, and the mailboxes are right outside of our apartment. When I did check it I was reminded that some friends will always be there. Even after alot of years apart with only a little actual communication. I went to the mailbox and when I opened it I saw Missy's handwriting and smiled. She made the cutest blanket for Isabelle. Alekisio said, "Oooh the blanket's so cute!" He even took a picture with it when I was taking this one.
Not to get depressing but when you live on a little island hours on an airplane away from family and friends that really know you it's gets hard. There are some times when I really have a longing to be around friends that have known me through most of my life. There are only a few people from when I was a teen who I can call right now, or see when I'm home and it feels like it hasn't been that long. I keep trying to talk Aisea into moving out west, I'm trying really really hard! I know he likes it because he used to talk about moving to Idaho Falls (where he served his mission), or Utah, because he knows the areas and has friends there. Anyway I just keep rambling, but I was so excited to get the blanket in the mail I had to share it with everyone. Handmade gifts are the most cherished! When I go to the mailbox and there's a card from Missy or Aunt Connie it always makes my day, (they make really cute cards), and this blanket came at the perfect time. I'm hoping Isabelle is so excited to see it she'll come out very soon! Thanks Missy!

My Towelmonkey

Alekisio loves his bathtime. In fact one day he somehow ended up with three between his dad and I. His favorite part is actually the end when he runs into the room I'm in and yells, "I nakey," and shakes his butt. When it's cold out he loves his towel though, and the other day told me that he's my towelmonkey.

My Superman!

Alekisio loves being superman or spiderman! Yesterday he found the old sarong we tie around his neck as a cape and put on his rainboots while I was cleaning the bathroom. Of course he's only in underwear because I'm trying to potty train, but I thought this was a funny looking superhero outfit. He was trying to climb the walls in the picture, and he decided that he needed to save the people from the fire. Oh his boots also shot fire, I don't know where he got that from since PBS kids is the only channel he can watch. He's getting quite the imagination!

It's Rugby Season....yay?!

playing on a pile of wood chips
I know it's blurry but those are my boys!
Well rugby season has begun. Of course it's Alekisio and Aisea's favorite time. I used to really dislike this time of year, actually I hated it. Aisea would go to practice twice a week so we wouldn't see him until 7:30 or 8 at night. Not because they practice that long, but because all the old men who can't play anymore go to practices and bar-b-q for the players so they all sit around eat, and "talk story", which is a local term for talking or gossiping with friends. This season however because Alekisio is so into rugby we get to tag along to practices and games. At practice Alekisio loves to "practice" kicking their version of a field goal, and he has no fear when it comes to running into the middle of the field to try and get the ball while they're all knocking each other over. Luckily the guys are cautious and they watch out for him. When they're not in the middle of the game they even throw the ball with him, he throws and catches pretty well considering the rugby ball is heavier and bigger than a football. I have to say it's a little scary to me that he doesn't think twice about running into the middle of a pack of grown men that are tackling each other. Like father like son!

ROOOOAAAAR!

As I've probably mentioned Alekisio is 200% boy. His favorite part of the day is when he hears the key in the door and daddy walks in. I have to say I also love that part of the day, of course because I love my husband, but mostly because I get a break. When daddy gets home he doesn't get a minute to unwind, it's straight to business hiding from monsters and alot of roaring. That is a dinosaur he got for Christmas who spends alot of time eating us. Alekisio might look a little scared but he's actually laughing hysterically. After about ten minutes of straight roaring and screaming daddy always says,"ok let's take a break." Alekisio and daddy's ideas of a break are very different. Alekisio sits down, takes a breath, and is back at it. This continues until family prayer, and then daddy usually passes out in bed. There's no rest for the weary in our house!

Puddle Jumping!

We've had nothing but rain for the past week. Alekisio of course wants to jump in puddles every time he sees them. I've been lazy about getting him his rain boots so he hasn't been able to play in the rain. Well today while I was at my doctor's appointment daddy and Alekisio hung out across the street at the grocery store. When I finished I joined them and what aisle were they in....of course the one with the slippers(flip flops) and rainboots. Alekisio gets whatever he wants when daddy is around. As soon as we got home he needed his "fireman" boots on. So we went outside the apartment and let him play. Don't worry it wasn't cold out so he didn't need a jacket, that's the beauty of Hawaii!

Don't you just want to bite those cheeks?!

Here are some better pics of Braelyn. He's sooooooo cute. I might be biased though. I just want to nibble on his chubby cheeks!

Braylen Andrew Levenhagen

This is my nephew Braylen. He was born at 10:46 pm after almost twenty hours of labor! He's a big boy at 8lbs. 12oz. and 21 inches long. Unfortunately I won't be able to meet him until he's older, which makes me sad, but that's the reality of living so far away. I can't believe my sister is a mommy but they said she's doing really well. Congratulations Naomi he's beautiful!

In case you missed it

I had some modem problems and couldn't finish uploading a blog I started before the box one. So there is an entry below with current pregnant pics.

Once Upon A Time......

Once upon a time I wore make up and did my hair. I'm home alone and bored so I was looking through the pictures on my computer. I came across this picture and thought, "when was the last time I actually put more than five minutes into how I look?" I used to love putting on make up and doing my hair. I don't think I've done my hair since easter, and I think I forgot how to put make up on. This seems like a waste since I own ALOT of expensive make up and I used to actually know how to put it on and play with the colors. Not only that but I actually felt like doing it. I definitely don't feel like doing it right now but after the baby is born I'm going to try. Maybe then I won't avoid the camera because I have bags under my eyes and frizzy hair! I think it's going to make me feel better which will in turn make my children happier. I wish I knew how some women can have clean houses, kids, and look good daily, especially sunday morning! Anyway this was just a thought I had, it's what happens when I'm bored late at night!
