Fun in a Box

Today we went to buy Isabelle's carseat since the one we had was stolen from our storage unit. Alekisio was really excited to go get it. I think he was more excited that they had a Thomas train table to play with. When we got home he pushed it all the way to the living room. I took it out and immediately he found a new reason to love it. The empty box of course. Ever since he could crawl he's loved to squeeze himself in to small spaces. As you can see by his smile he has enjoyed this box all afternoon! Oh and any family reading this please don't tell grandma we're naming the baby after her I want it to be a surprise. Thanks!

Baby Steps

Well Aleksio is finally not peeing on the floor! I realized he needs to be "nakey butt" or else he pees in his underwear. I'm hoping he'll move on to wearing underwear soon though. He also isn't waiting for a diaper at naptime to poop. He's doing it like a big boy! Sorry if this is grossing some people out. He still has to wear a diaper if we leave the house, but let's all pray he's further along when the baby comes so we can cut back on the diaper bill. Speaking of the baby she's had a serious case of the hiccups for the past five minutes!

Eight Months Along

I'm now 34 weeks along (due march 14th). Alekisio was a much easier pregnancy. I was sick for the first four months, and my lower back is killing me now. I know why pregnany women walk like ducks! It's much more comfortable to walk leaning back a little. All the little things that bother me through the day don't matter when I feel her move though.
Alekisio loves to cuddle with her, and gives my belly plenty of hugs and kissses. He was at the doctor with me last month and when he heard her heart he laughed and said she was playing drums. He always "tickles" her and tells her,"wakey, wakey". He's felt her move a few times, he laughs and laughs. He says he has a baby in his belly. Sometimes he puts my hand on it and moves his stomach up and down so I can feel it move. If he has an upset stomach it's his baby hurting. I'm so glad he's excited and not jealous. I hope it continues this way. For me this experience is almost surreal. I know I'm having a baby, but I think I'm scared to have a girl. It's also going to be different not having any family around after she's born. It's going to be an adventure!

Fun at the Park

Living in a small apartment is tough for a two year old with the constant wiggles. I was feeling guilty that I was so tired all the time and we weren't getting out of the house daily. Luckily I went to the doctor for RLS and they found the reason that I was feeling tired all the time was that I wasn't anemic yet but my iron was really low. We've fixed that problem and he now he's a very happy man on the go. He got roller skates for christmas and is in love, especially since he can wear a helmet. He is definitely all boy, his favorite things are
1. motorcycles

2. helmets

3. rugby, football, and baseball

4. monsters and all things scary

5. roller skates and scooters

He would love to move onto skateboards but I'm not allowing that for a little while. I see many broken bones in our future. His knees and legs have more scars than I've ever seen on a two year old. He's definitely fearless, he doesn't care how many times he falls he keeps trying and I love that. Alekisio definitely keeps me moving!

The Scary World of Blogging

Starting a blog is scary to me because I'm not a great writer. I opened a myspace account to keep in touch with people but the only family that sees pictures are my cousins and sister. Keeping in touch isn't a strong point for me either, but I love reading about what other people are up to, so I decided to try it. Especially since we're having another baby soon and life will get more hectic. I can't imagine! I hope you enjoy and I hope I can keep it up!
