At the Zoo

We took the kids to the zoo when my cousin left. There's a great video of Sio staring down a cheetah and the cheetah growls at him. The fince is only about two feet away so it was pretty close to him. That video will come soon!

The next morning Kim and my Aunt Carol hung cords from the tree so the kids could swing like the monkeys they are.

Hiking Brandywine Falls

My cousin Kim came down for the weekend with her kids Mason, Myles, and Michaela. The kids loved hiking the falls and just enjoying each others company. Naomi and I made them water bottle holders that turned out sooo cute. When the kids are here it's a huge treat for Alekisio because outside of school his playmates are 2 years old. Isabelle just makes me laugh. She loves dressing herself, which is evident by the outfit that doesn't match, and carrying around as many purses as you'll let her. If she can find a pair of sunglasses or a headband on the way out those go on too. She just loved walking around with her water bottle holder drinking from it every two seconds. Then we went home and ate pizza and made smores.YUM!

Biking in Style

There are miles of paved trails through the woods near our house. I fixed one of my mom's bikes that were in the basement so I could go biking with my friend's mom. Mrs. Flores had a wagon for behind her bike so she pulled Isabelle because, well, I couldn't. Isabelle loved sitting back there and taking in the scenery. I'm sure glad I didn't have to pull her because by the end of the five miles I thought my legs were going to fall off. It was beautiful, I love autumn when they leaves are changing and falling off the trees. It's what I've missed the most for the last 10 years.

Alekisio never wanted to write his name for me at home but a few days into school he could already do this!
