Day one of Spring Break 2009
Since Alekisio has started school I'm a little more relaxed. I love him, but he is a handful, and it's nice to shop in peace. When I realized Spring Break was coming I started getting a pre-migraine. Luckily some other moms in my ward(church) were in the same predicament and one of them planned a week of activities for us all to join in if we wanted. I was game. Not only would we get out of the house but I could talk to adults, and Alekisio would be occupied with his friends. On Monday we went to Queen Emma park. I love it because the upper level is a playground with swings, not every park has those, and the lower part is a basketball and volleyball court area that the kids can ride bikes in. We played there for a little over three hours I think. Isabelle had fun eating leaves and getting pulled and almost knocked off a bike by her brother. She also loves watching and being part of the "big" kids. Alekisio was in heaven. On the way out of our building I stopped by to see if his friend Kobey, who also goes to our church, wanted to come. So when he was allowed that was a big bonus. We met Ellie and Lucy. Lucy is the little girl Alekisio says he's going to kiss when he gets off his mission. And we also met the Lymans who are pictured in the post below. Their mom Mandy was the awesome mom who planned to week. It was a great week and I'm so glad we did all these things or I would have been crazy by the end of the week.

I don't know why but Isabelle kept turning backwards in the seat. Alekisio, below, is in love with that big wheel and he's recently realized if he goes really fast and stops a certain way he can get it to do a 360, well almost all the way around. Oh and the best part of the week were the great naps the kids took afterward.
Tuesday we had story time at the library. I got to witness Alekisio sitting still for more than thirty seconds and left with a brighter looking future! After that it was off to the mall with the Lymans to see a science show. It was a really cool show about air. The lady sucked an egg in a jar with a match, and some other things. However the highlight was a toss up between the ride she gave the kids on a hovercraft, and the tram we took from one end of the mall to the other. It's a rail system to go from the lower to the upper mall, and it's up above the parking lot so the kids loved it. My camera battery was dead that day so no pics but as soon as Mandy finds her lost camera I'll put some up.
