Alekisio's week at school
Alekisio has had a very eventful week at school. On Tuesday we had a field trip to the zoo. I'm starting to dread field trips because he's a total crank pot the whole time and doesn't want to stay with the class because I'm there, so of course he should be able to do whatever he wants, right? I think my patience was just really thin because of the week before when he had a tempertantrum every hour and was constantly yelling at me. Thanks to consistent time outs and soap in the mouth I think we're over that hurdle for now. Anyway by the end of the zoo trip he was better but I had a headache. I think his favorite part was when they got together after lunch and sang Tootie Pop, mostly because you stick your butt in the air and stick your tongue out. It was either that or when the peacocks hovered waiting for the perfect moment to steal a sandwich. Right before we got to the lunch spot a kid from the other class wasn't paying attention and a peacock enjoyed a nice turkey sandwich for lunch. I think it was annoyed that the adults stood around the kids after that and wouldn't let him get close. My favorite part was when the goats were eating the kids shirts. I know it's mean to laugh, but it was funny seeing the boys who don't listen get scared of a goat. On Friday the kids did a trike-a-thon for St. Jude's Alekisio's class had Pajama day also so he rode around in his Christmas pjs. I was really proud because usually he gets frustrated when he rides a regular bike because he can't always make the pedals go around, but he really persisted and got it!
